This picture is on our way to PEI for the mining workshop and indigenous perspectives workshop that we attended there. We took the ferry from Pictou and arrived in PEI about an hour outside of Charlottetown. We had the afternoon free and attended the workshop in the evening.

During the afternoon we had lunch and then went to see some live performances that were part of a radio-show. They were advertising for the smallhalls event that is a one week festival all over the island. There were story-tellers and musicians and it was really fun. the picture in the tree is just after these performances, which shows all of the interns minus one, plus an intern from last year.
After the trip to PEI, we took the bridge back and I got dropped off in Murray Corner and spent most of the weekend there, and one day in Sackville before returning to Tatamagouche.
Last week was pretty training intensive we did a two hour workshop on power and privilege that was really intense and caused some ruptures within our group. Following that  we had three days of training from the centre for intercultural learning that was mandatory by CIDA.
Then I headed home after the CIL training on Friday, to visit with Rick and Marilyn who had just arrived for a visit, we had a bonfire and drinks and it was really nice to see everyone. The next day, Cody arrived in Petty and just before supper I dislocated my knee, which led to a trip to the emergency room in Sussex. After that we had a family supper and headed back to Tatamagouche on Sunday
Monday after doing our Guatemala Research presentations Amanda, Elsa and I went to bingo in Tatamagouche where I won 50$!! Needless to say we are hoping to go back next Monday evening, we thought we would only be there for an hour which ended up being 3, it was really fun.

Tuesday after our skill share day, we went to the beach around dusk, but didnt end up staying that long because the bugs were so bad!
